UHPLC Column, RP PFP, 1.8um, 100A. 4.6mm ID x 100mm Length. Cogent Brand. 1 EA.
Additional Info:
The 68122‑10P Cogent RP PFP™ UHPLC Column is designed for enhanced selectivity of halogenated, aromatic, and polar compounds, delivering improved resolution where conventional C18 methods may lack specificity.
This stationary phase uses a pentafluorophenyl (PFP) ligand bonded via a four‑carbon linker to high‑purity silica with full double end‑capping, providing multiple interaction mechanisms such as π‑π interactions, dipole interactions, and hydrogen bonding. These combined mechanisms allow for greater selectivity control and improved separation of structurally similar analytes.
This column is well suited as an alternative for USP L43 methods and for new method development requiring different retention behavior than traditional reversed‑phase columns.
100 mm Length – Increased Resolution for Analytical Workflows
The 100 mm length provides a strong balance between resolution and run time, improving separation without the longer cycles of 150 mm or 250 mm columns.
Better resolution than 50 mm screening columns
Improved separation of closely related compounds
Increased peak capacity for complex samples
✅ Use when additional resolving power is needed beyond fast screening methods
Flow Rate & System Requirements (4.6 mm ID, 1.8 µm)
⚠️ Requires UHPLC system capability due to high backpressure
Typical flow rate range: ~1.0–2.0 mL/min
Optimal starting range: ~1.2–1.5 mL/min
Requires stable high‑pressure pumping
Compatible with standard analytical detectors
✅ Sample preparation requirement: filter samples using a 0.2 µm syringe filter prior to injection
